  When can I check into my room?

Room check-in starts at 14:00 (2pm) and is possible until midnight.

We do ask that you let us know your flight number or train arrival time so we can anticipate your arrival at the hotel. Please be aware that this is especially important if you will be arriving before 9am (09:00) or after 8pm (20:00). If you are arriving before 2pm (14:00) you will be more than welcome to store your bags with us until your room is ready, we will have a free city map for you as well.

Unfortunately, check-in after midnight is not possible. Thank you for your understanding.

  When do I have to leave?

You would need to check-out of your room by 12:00pm, but you are more than welcome to store your bags with us if you are leaving Amsterdam later in the day.

  What does the price include?

Our freshly prepared Breakfast, free Wi-fi, a Nespresso coffee & tea-making facilities, Free non-alcoholic drinks & snack bar in the room (refreshed daily), all Taxes, Rituals© bath products and Bathrobes.

  Do you have a lift/elevator or ground floor rooms?

Our rooms are located on the 1st through the 3rd floors and can only be reached by stairs. Unfortunately, the hotel building is not suitable for physically challenged guests.

The monumental canal houses of the city center are very charming, but also come with 15th-17th century staircases. Since we do not have an elevator, and our stairs are typical for Amsterdam (i.e. steep and narrow), we are more than willing to carry your bags to the room for you! We do appreciate it when you pack light and bring smaller bags.

  How can I pay?

We accept payments in cash, via direct debit bank card/PIN, bank transfer or credit cards. We accept the following credit cards: Eurocard/MasterCard, Visa, American Express, VPay or Diners card.

  Are there any discounts?

For stays of 5 nights or more receive a reduction of 10% off all rates.

On our own website we offer a special discount of 10% for all reservation, please use discount code misc10 to redeem this. This special offer is only available when booking directly with our hotel using our online booking engine. Please note that all discounts are calculated automatically in our online booking engine.

Last minute booking rates do not apply for existing bookings. All our rates are per room, per night including breakfast and taxes. All rates are under reserve, they can be changed at any time, and may differ on special dates

  I don't have a credit card. Can I still make a reservation?

Yes, of course. If you do not have a credit card or cannot use one to secure your reservation, we also accept advance payment through a bank transfer. This option is available in our online booking engine. When booking for the non-refundable rate or the Standard rate with the pre-pay option you will have the option to pay by bank transfer.

  Do you have any triple rooms or family rooms?

Unfortunately, we do not have any triple rooms or larger in our hotel. Please note that we only have double rooms with a maximum occupancy of 2 adults. If you are travelling with a baby, please see the next FAQ.

  Can you accommodate a baby or child in a room?

Children of all ages are more than welcome, however due to fire regulations we can only have two people in our rooms, this is including children!

We do however make an exception for babies/toddlers up to 3 years of age. In these cases, we have one baby cot available. Please be aware that this baby cot can only be placed in one of our canal view rooms. This is free of charge but always on request and subject to availability.

Please email us or give us a call to confirm availability of this room and the baby cot for your specific dates, as we only offer this possibility in one of our canal view rooms

  Can you accommodate our group?

A maximum of 2 rooms for a maximum of 4 guests can be booked per party. We do not accept any groups larger than 4 guests, even when booking separately. Thank you for your understanding.

  Can I have breakfast at misc hotel?

All our room rates are including our freshly prepared breakfast which is served from 9am until 12pm, and from 7:30am to 9am upon request.

Our fresh breakfast includes: different types of country-style bread, croissants, Dutch farmer's cheese, butcher's select ham, fresh fruit, fruit smoothies, home-made style jams, muesli and granola with milk/yoghurt, an egg (fried, scrambled or boiled), butcher's cut bacon, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee or tea. Any other style breakfast is available upon request (at least 24 hours in advance).

  Can you help us to arrange museum tickets and canal cruises?

Yes, you can purchase skip-the-line tickets for all major museums, except the Anne Frank house, at the hotel when you are in Amsterdam. We even have tickets for all other major attractions such as Heineken Experience, Canal boat cruises, and many more.

If you want to visit the Anne Frank House we recommend to buy your tickets at the website of the Anne Frank House: Tickets may look sold out on the Anne Frank House site but they are also available last-minute so you can also check when you are in Amsterdam. It is a question of refreshing the page every few minutes to catch them when they go online.

If you'll be staying in Amsterdam/the Netherlands for several days, we would strongly recommend that you get a Museumkaart (this is not to be confused with the Iamsterdam card, which is only good for 24/48/72/96 hours). Yes, it's valid for 31 days for non-residents, but is a great deal if you want to visit more than 4 museums in Amsterdam/the Netherlands.

You can purchase it for €59,90 at any museum or through the hotel in combination with our Museum Lovers Package.

  Is my pet welcome?

Sorry, no pets are allowed. We have a no pet policy for our hotel.

  Do you provide a map of Amsterdam?

Yes, we will provide you with a map of Amsterdam at check-in.

  How does public transportation work in Amsterdam?

Don't forget: In general almost everything is within walking distance, or biking distance, in this city.

  Can you arrange a taxi transfer between the airport and hotel?

Would you like to be picked up at Schiphol airport and brought straight to the hotel hassle-free? We can arrange for a taxi to be waiting for you just outside the airport to bring you directly to the hotel for a fixed rate of €45,00 (for 1-3 persons & mobile phone number necessary for this rate). Taxi vans are available for 4-6 persons at a rate of €55,00. Taxi's from the 'Taxi stand' at the airport will charge you between 48-65 euros. There is no fixed rate for the journey from the airport to the city center, the driver will use his meter and the fare will depend on traffic conditions and the route taken.

Furthermore, the cars we use are more comfortable and the drivers more dependable than the average taxi at Schiphol airport.

To arrange this transfer we will need your flight number, arrival time and a working mobile phone number. If you will not have a working mobile telephone with you than the taxi driver will need to pick you up at the gate at his fee will be €49,50 or €59,50 respectively.

This is the perfect hotel for anyone wanting to be in the center of the best Amsterdam has to offer. Amsterdam is a great walking city and we have great restaurants, cafés, museums, design and shopping all within walking distance of our location.

We are:
25 minutes by taxi from Schiphol airport
10 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central train station
15 minutes walk from the East docks for river cruise boats
20 minutes walk from the Passengers' terminal (docking for ocean linners)
10 minutes taxi ride from the West dock for the river cruise boats

*(Schiphol airport is a 15-20 train journey from Amsterdam Central train station)

  How does parking work in Amsterdam?

Please contact us directly if you will be arriving with your own car. We will send a complete pdf with parking information as there are several options for parking your car in Amsterdam. There are several options to park your car in Amsterdam, but by far the best option is to park your car in the following parking garage:

This parking is located next to Amsterdam Central Station the rate is € 13,00 per day and about a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Parking your car on the street in Amsterdam is expensive and difficult. Please note that the rate is €5,00 per hour and must be paid from 9am to 4am! There are more parking garages close to the hotel, but they are far more expensive and/or some of them have strange opening hours.
